Phone number change
Our strategy of listening to our customers is of paramount importance to our business and as a result we are dropping our 0870 number in a drive to offer our customers better call rates.
Our new number is 01793 425 600, and is effective immediately. Calls to our old 0870 number will still be active but will discontinue by year end 2007.
We hope that this number change is of benefit to our customers and shows our commitment to continuous improvement.

Advanced Modular Solutions
MMG MagDev have been appointed distributor of the Advanced Modular Solutions range of Amorphous and Nano-Crystalline magnetic components for use in a diverse range of modern, high performance commercial, industrial, military and consumer applications. The range of magnetic materials enable equipment manufacturers to achieve greater miniaturisation, higher efficiencies and lower electromagnetic interference levels.
The following products are included in the Advanced Modular Solutions range:
Common Mode Chokes
With nominal permeability’s of up to 90,000, NoiseKil™ cores can reduce component sizes by more than 50%
Differential Mode Chokes
With saturation flux density higher than 1.5T, Electra-Φ™ cores can filter significantly higher levels of differential mode noise.
Power Factor Correction Chokes
Ener-G™ amorphous C-Cores are the ideal solution for Continuous Mode Conduction (CCM) PFC boost pre-regulators.
Magnetic Amplifiers
Amorphous magnetic amplifiers are now the industry standard for implementing multiple output power supplies. Hex™4 series of mag-amp have very low losses and high squareness.
Magnetic Snubbers
AmoSnub™ magnetic cores and beads come in a range of industry standard sizes and are the perfect solution for eliminating diode recovery noise in power supplies and welding current sources.
Output Inductors
Amorphous iron based magnetic cores, Ener-G™ and Electra-Φ™, offer the designer a path to significant size reduction. The unique combination of low losses and high saturation flux density allow significant performance improvements over ferrites and powder cores.

Price Increases in Raw Material
Rare Earth materials such as Neodymium, Boron, Cobalt and Samarium have seen dramatic increases over the last months, with prices rising by 40%. These materials are in short supply because of world demand and rising energy costs. This means that finished magnet prices are realising a 20-30% increase and as such our prices can only be fixed over short periods.

Fully Sintered Crushed Powder
MMG now offer a new range of Soft Ferrite loading powders, suitable for compounding with a variety of materials such as plastics, resins, or rubbers. The fully sintered FSCP loading powders have specific advantage where, for reasons of application, the component will not be sintered after forming.

Large Ferrite Cores
Following the transfer of manufacturing of MMG Neosid's ferrite components and accessories to sister companies in India and Canada, MMG MagDev has been the European sales, technical support and distribution centre for Neosid ferrites, bobbins, clips, accessories and wound components as well as its full range of permanent magnets and assemblies.
Further investment in machinery and equipment at the manufacturing plants means that the range of ferrite components available has been increased to include a full range of large ferrite cores, which were previously available from MMG Neosid in the UK. Sizes now available in a range of application specific materials include 63, 78 and 102mm ring cores (toroids), 82, 91, 93 and 101mm U cores and large E and low profile planar E cores.
