Neodymium Pot Magnets
Neodymium pot magnets are the ultimate choice for clamping, gripping and fixing components together. Consisting of a strong steel casing with a powerful neodymium magnet on one face, they’re designed to clamp directly onto a steel surface. The steel casing concentrates the flux on the active face of the magnet, making it up to five times stronger than a normal neodymium magnet.
Unlike other neodymium options, magnetism is confined to one side of the magnet, creating a powerful clamping force. The steel casing means these super-strong magnets can survive ongoing impact onto a steel surface, without chipping or cracking over time. This makes them great for industrial applications, especially in the steel industry or tool shops.
Pot magnets – also known as holding magnets – come complete with a central void, which enables them to be attached to non-magnetic surfaces with a screw or bolt. These holes come in a variety of arrangements, including tapped, countersunk or threaded, allowing them to be mounted easily. We can also design neodymium pot magnets with hooks, eyebolt attachments and cable ties, ideal for hanging just about anything.
Neodymium pot magnets are what’s known as a ‘permanent magnet’, as they’ll only lose minute amounts of magnetism over time. Made from alloys of rare-earth elements, they’re the strongest and most widely available type of permanent magnets.
We have a small selection of neodymium pot magnets to choose from online, with hundreds more variations available if you contact us directly. Not sure what kind of neodymium magnet you need? Don’t worry – we’ll work with you to understand your project and recommend the best magnet for your needs.
